The Best?

Reader comment on: Thoughts on the Final Presidential Debate

Submitted by RDG (United States), Oct 23, 2012 00:17

These two guys are probably not the best this generation has to offer. The best did not run for sure. These two are the ones selected by the people as the best among those running. I used to meet with Soviet economists and they were always amazed that Americans left the selection of our leaders up to the voters. They said in the Soviet Union no one would ever take that big of a gamble. The Soviet people voted to accept the selection of the leaders not to elect the leaders. Is that a better way to get the best? Not a criticism. I just think you should elaborate on your position.
