Agreement, with a condition

Reader comment on: A Weak Argument Against Trump

Submitted by David Moran (United States), Feb 26, 2016 21:26

I agree that the circumstances of one's birth should not be held against a candidate. But can we not agree that a real estate developer must constantly cadge favors from politicians, and that crony capitalism is a great issue for Republicans who want to limit government? Trump could point out that a fellow such as he tries to influence state government, but I think I recall his saying that the feds should promote real estate development through the federal tax code. I don't, and fear his artistry of the deal will make the tax code worse, not better. Then again, anyone is better than the Picasso of the art of crony capitalism, H Clinton. She is so far gone that she thinks buying off people is governing. At least FDR named names, sort of.
