Maybe...but not so fast

Reader comment on: A Weak Argument Against Trump

Submitted by Marc Segan (United States), Feb 27, 2016 10:24

Trump talks constantly of having built a huuuge company. It's worth knowing that he started with a pretty huuuge pile and a ton of connections. Neither JFK nor FDR were claiming to have built anything in particular. That's not to take away from what Trump may well have achieved, but neither is it to be held out as a demonstration of how class-warfare politics may have infected even Repub discourse. Accordingly, it would probably be a good idea for someone taking that tack to explain a bit more carefully WHY it matters.
