Eliminate all deductions

Reader comment on: State Taxes and Charitable Gift Deductions

Submitted by Andrew Terhune (United States), Jan 11, 2018 17:27

In Pennsylvania where I am domiciled, there are no deductions for anything from your state personal income taxes. The world still revolves, birds sing, the sun rises and sets. There is no reason our federal taxes couldn't be as simple. Wouldn't we all (except maybe accountants) be better off with lower rates and no deductions for anything?
