Don't know the details, but I had a friend who was a concessionaire at Yankees stadium. When the team was away on road trips, she said she would collect unemployment. I didn't research this myself.

However, as impolitic as a previous poster put it, I would have to agree that the vast majority of unemployed are not substitute teachers in New Canaan. And I have no problem with a second member of a couple collecting unemployment. For many middle class families, one income is not sufficient. If a spouse is looking for a job to help support his/her family and can't find one, he/she should get benefits just like anyone else.
