In school until 18?

Reader comment on: Obama State of the Union

Submitted by NoNameWorks (United States), Jan 25, 2012 01:08

"tonight, I call on every State to require that all students stay in high school until they graduate or turn eighteen."

The President doesn't know that the authorities legally can't make older teenagers stay at home, much less keep them in school. He going to fund the states so they can lock them up?

Sheesh.

Not to mention it's not a Federal issue and what's it got to do with the State of the Union anyway?
