I'm ashamed

Reader comment on: Krugman and Obama on Infant Nutrition

Submitted by Brian C. (United States), Feb 18, 2011 12:36

I'm ashamed to admit that as I was complaining about the cost of infant formula a couple of years ago, it never occurred to me that the WIC program, the tax payer subsidy, was driving up the cost we were paying for it.

I always noticed though that it seemed every bit as expensive in the discount and bargain stores as it did in the higher-end grocery stores. Should have tipped me off. It's so obvious, in hindsight.

Once again, sophist Krugman will eschew the role of economist, to be a polemicist.
