Once again, this is another example of our "betters" knowing more than the commoner. Unfortunately, all of the solutions these "betters" come up with are always short-sighted and never actually address the problem. The worst of it is that they only do these kinds of things based on their feelings, not on actual facts or reason. But they get to feel good about themselves, and everyone else loses some kind of freedom. So for them, it's win-win.

And the Pulitzer board never takes back anything from the NYT, unless it's a Jayson Blair scenario where they are caught red-handed right away, and there's a big enough stink. Walter Duranty's complete fabrications didn't even justify the Pulitzer board taking back the prize. It's kind of an incestuous relationship between NYT and Pulitzer if you ask me.
